Did you know ? 🍕🍕SO THAT'S WHY WE CALL IT PIZZA MARGHERITA

Legend has it that Margherita Queen of Italy, whilst visiting Naples in 1889 grew tired of gourmet French food;
So she asked the most famous pizzaiolo in Naples, Raffaele Esposito to make her pizza.

The pizza she liked best was made with mozzarella, tomatoes and basil (red, white & green), just like the
three colors of the Italian flag. Esposito named the dish after Queen Margherita, and the rest is "storia" (history).

An alternate theory revolves around the fact that the name margherita is italian for daisy, so some suggest the pizza got its name from the daisy-shaped arrangement of mozzarella and basil on top of the pizza.

No matter how you slice it, pizza Margherita is delicious.
